What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is a personalised, evidence-based approach to health that uses food, lifestyle, and (when needed) functional testing to support your body’s natural balance.
The goal is to uncover the root causes of your symptoms and help you make sustainable changes that improve your long-term wellbeing.
How is Nutritional Therapy different from seeing a dietitian?
Dietitians are typically based in hospitals or clinical settings, often focusing on specific medical conditions. Nutritional Therapists, however, complete specialist training and use evidence-based strategies to create tailored recommendations for each individual.
What kinds of issues can Nutritional Therapy help with?
Nutritional Therapy can support a wide range of concerns such as digestive health, energy and fatigue, hormonal balance, skin issues, weight management, and general wellbeing. While it is not a replacement for medical treatment, it works well alongside conventional healthcare.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is needed; you can book directly with me. If necessary, we can work collaboratively with your GP or other healthcare providers.
Is Nutritional Therapy evidence-based?
Yes. All recommendations are rooted in up-to-date nutrition science and clinical research, tailored to your individual needs.
What happens in a Discovery Call?
The Discovery Call is a free, no-obligation chat where we discuss your goals, answer your questions, and decide if Nutritional Therapy is the right fit for you.
What does the first consultation involve?
The initial consultation (60–90 minutes) is a deep dive into your health history, diet, lifestyle, and goals. From this, a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan with clear, achievable steps is created and personal goals identified.
How long are the sessions?
Initial consultations last 60–90 minutes, and follow-ups are usually 30–45 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your health goals. Some people see me for just a few months, while others prefer longer-term support. We’ll agree a plan that suits you best.
Do you offer in-person or online consultations?
I offer secure online sessions and, where possible, in-person consultations.
Will I need functional or medical tests?
Not always. Sometimes diet and lifestyle adjustments are enough. However, if needed, I may recommend functional testing (such as digestive, hormonal, or nutrient status tests) to get to the root of your symptoms.
Do you interpret test results from my GP/doctor?
Yes. I’m happy to review any recent test results you already have and incorporate them into your plan.
How are personalised plans created?
Your plan is based on your health history, goals, lifestyle, and (if applicable) test results. It may include dietary adjustments, lifestyle changes, and supplement recommendations if appropriate. This is a collaborative process that will be led by the client.
Do you recommend supplements?
Sometimes. I take a "food first" approach, but in some cases, targeted supplements may help bridge gaps or speed up progress.
How much does it cost?
I offer different consultation packages depending on the level of support you’d like. Full details can be found on my Services & Pricing page.
Are consultations covered by health insurance?
Some private health insurers cover Nutritional Therapy. Please check with your provider to confirm.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
Do you offer payment plans or packages?
Yes. Packages often provide better value and ongoing support. Please get in touch to discuss options.
Do I have to give up my favourite foods?
Not at all. Nutritional Therapy is about balance and flexibility, not restriction. Together we’ll find realistic ways to include the foods you love while supporting your health goals.
Will I get meal plans and recipes?
Yes, I provide meal inspiration, recipe ideas, and practical tips tailored to your preferences and lifestyle.
How soon will I see results?
This varies from person to person. Some people notice improvements within a few weeks, while others see gradual changes over several months.
Is Nutritional Therapy suitable for children or families?
Yes, We can work with individuals of all ages. Supporting families can be a great way to make sustainable changes together.
Can you work alongside my GP or other healthcare professionals?
Absolutely. Collaboration ensures you receive the most comprehensive care.
Is my personal information kept confidential?
Yes. Your information is always kept private and secure.
Do you share my data with anyone else?
